New IM Service at GMLtop
 
A new and improved Instant Messaging answer service is coming to the Grunigen Medical Library's homepage! Soon, you'll be able to chat with a librarian 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Real-time chat reference service is provided by reference staff from various academic libraries. UC Irvine librarians will follow up with additional information if needed.

Keep your eyes open for the new service the coming months.

Beginning October 7th, the new lunchtime workshop series arrives at the Grunigen Medical Library:

This special workshop series is held every Wednesday at 12:00pm in the GML Conference room. These lunch-hour sessions are intended to showcase time saving tips & tricks for common library resources, internet databases, new web 2.0 tools, and other emerging IT resources. Sessions will run for 30 minutes.

Evidence-Based Medicine: New Libguidetop
 
Our Evidence-Based Medicine libguide is now available through our GML homepage!

This new libguide provides healthcare professionals with key resources when searching for evidence-based literature. The guide features key filtered searching sites, unfiltered searching sites, and clinical trial aggregators. In addition the guide provides lists of books and journals in EBM, as well as critically appraised topics (CATs) and links to systematic reviews.
